Iran Launches Cluster Missile at Central Israel, Claims Strike on Israel-Linked Ship
Iran launched a cluster missile targeting central Israel, resulting in over ten impact sites across the Tel Aviv area and nearby cities. Emergency services reported several vehicles on fire and damage to residential buildings, though no injuries were immediately reported. The affected areas include Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, and Rosh HaAyin, with smoke visible over parts of Ramat Gan and Givatayim. The Israel Defense Forces dispatched Home Front Command search and rescue units to the impacted areas, advising the public to avoid gathering at these sites and to adhere to safety instructions. Concurrently, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for a drone strike on a vessel 'linked to Israel' in the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the ship caught fire. Maritime tracking data suggested the vessel was the Liberia-flagged container ship MSC Ishyka, although this claim has not been independently verified.
