Nicholas John Cassidy's Legacy Celebrated in Obituary
Nicholas John Cassidy, a resident of Victor, New York, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2026, at the age of 105. Born on August 16, 1920, in New York City, Cassidy lived a life marked by service, craftsmanship, and family devotion. During World War II, he worked at the Walsh-Kaiser Shipyards in Providence, Rhode Island, before enlisting in the US Army Air Corps in 1943. Although the war ended before he was deployed, his commitment to service was a defining aspect of his life. After the war, Cassidy married Catherine Turner and worked for New York Bell, eventually overseeing the telephone system at JFK Airport. He was known for his problem-solving skills and love for woodworking, music, and travel. Cassidy is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and is fondly remembered by his caregivers. His funeral mass is scheduled for May 5 at St. Patrick's Church in Victor, New York.
