British Fashion Council Announces 2026/27 BFC NEWGEN Recipients, Enhancing Support for Emerging Designers
The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the recipients of the BFC NEWGEN award for 2026/27, in partnership with Pull&Bear. This initiative, established in 1993, aims to support emerging fashion designers by providing financial aid, mentorship, and showcasing opportunities at London Fashion Week. The 2026/27 cohort includes designers such as Charlie Constantinou, Francesca Lake, and Oscar Ouyang, among others. The BFC has redefined its support strategy to focus on long-term growth, providing deeper and more tailored support to a concentrated group of designers. This shift is part of the BFC's broader strategy, BFC 2030: Access, Creativity, Growth, which emphasizes sustained support over mere visibility. The selection panel, chaired by Sarah Mower MBE and Laura Weir, included industry experts from various fashion houses and publications.
