PRC Foreign Intelligence Evolves with Increased Online Recruitment and AI Integration
Chinese intelligence efforts are increasingly shifting from traditional human intelligence (HUMINT) to digital operations launched from within the People's Republic of China (PRC). The Ministry of State Security (MSS) and military intelligence are utilizing online platforms, particularly LinkedIn, for recruitment, often employing headhunter-style approaches and commercial pretexts to gather intelligence and identify potential targets.
