Electrical Fire Temporarily Shuts Down Broadway's 'The Book of Mormon'
An electrical fire broke out at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in New York, causing significant damage and temporarily halting performances of the long-running musical 'The Book of Mormon'. The fire originated in an electrical room and affected the fourth floor and a backroom with lighting equipment. The New York Fire Department managed to control the blaze, although one firefighter sustained minor injuries. The theater, which has hosted 'The Book of Mormon' since 2011, is undergoing repairs, and the duration of the closure is currently unknown.
