Chicago Police Officer John Bartholomew Remembered After Line-of-Duty Death
John G. Bartholomew, a veteran officer of the Chicago Police Department, was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 25, 2026. Born in Evanston, Illinois, Bartholomew served the department for nearly 11 years, known for his dedication and service to the community. He is survived by his wife, Renee, and three children. Bartholomew was remembered for his generosity, love for family, and passion for history. A visitation and funeral service are scheduled at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, with arrangements handled by Memory Eternal Funeral Directors.
