Italy's Ambassador Highlights Strategic Ties with Cyprus Amid Regional Tensions
Italy's ambassador to Cyprus, Antonella Cavallari, has emphasized the strategic ties between Italy and Cyprus, highlighting trade, energy, and security cooperation. The two countries are working on a new action plan to deepen cooperation in sectors such as maritime shipping, vocational training, and environmental management. The ambassador also discussed Italy's role in UN peacekeeping and the EU's Aspides mission in the Red Sea. She expressed optimism about resolving the Cyprus problem, citing the current geopolitical context and the need for diplomatic success stories.
