42 Dogs Rescued from Unsanitary Conditions in Marysville, Recovering at Everett Animal Shelter
More than 40 West Highland Terriers are currently recovering at the Everett Animal Shelter after being rescued from a utility trailer in Marysville, Washington. The dogs were found in cramped, unsanitary conditions, with many suffering from medical issues, matted hair, and covered in feces and urine. The Marysville Police Department is investigating the incident, describing it as extreme breeding and hoarding conditions, and has recommended 42 counts of second-degree animal cruelty charges against the owners. The dogs are not yet available for adoption, but the shelter has already received a significant number of applications and calls from interested individuals. Leslie Wall, assistant animal services manager for Everett Animal Shelter, stated that they have received 70 to 90 applications and 120 phone calls for these dogs.
