NASA's 'Spot the Station' App Enhances ISS Viewing Experience for Michigan Residents
NASA has developed a mobile application called 'Spot the Station' that allows users to track the International Space Station (ISS) as it orbits the Earth. The app provides real-time data on the ISS's location, making it easier for residents in Michigan to view the station as it passes overhead. The ISS completes 16 orbits of Earth each day, offering multiple opportunities for viewing, particularly in the hours before and after sunrise and sunset. The app is available for free on both Apple's App Store and Google Play, and it sends notifications to users about the best times to see the ISS from their location. The European Space Agency also offers an online tracker for desktop use.
