USDA Grants and New Roadmap Support Regenerative Agriculture Transition
A new industry roadmap has been introduced to facilitate the widespread adoption of regenerative agriculture by enhancing the role of farm advisors. This initiative, developed through collaboration between conservation groups and agricultural stakeholders, aims to support farmers and improve environmental outcomes. The roadmap emphasizes the importance of embedding regenerative practices into everyday farm decisions, requiring the support of trusted farm advisors. It outlines a framework for funders, policymakers, agribusinesses, and conservation leaders to invest strategically in farm advisors to drive both farm profitability and positive environmental outcomes. The roadmap identifies challenges such as limited workforce capacity and unclear business benefits, proposing three pillars and nine recommendations to address these issues.
