Indiana Woman Faces New Fraud Charge After Allegedly Failing to Deliver Purchased Car
Katherine Jackson, a 42-year-old woman from Indiana, is facing a new fraud charge related to an alleged car sale scam. Jackson, who has a history of fraud charges, is accused of taking $8,000 from an employee of her former attorney under the pretense of purchasing a vehicle on his behalf. The victim, who worked part-time at the law firm representing Jackson, was led to believe that Jackson, claiming to own a car lot, could secure a better deal on a 2017 Smart Fortwo. Despite receiving the payment and signing a bill of sale, Jackson allegedly never delivered the vehicle, citing delays due to repairs and tariffs. The victim later discovered the car was sold to someone else in New York. A warrant for Jackson's arrest was issued following these revelations.
