Washington D.C.'s Fourth of July celebration has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest fireworks display, with 840,537 fireworks launched. The event, part of the nation's 250th anniversary of independence, was delayed due to thunderstorms but successfully took place in the early hours of July 5. The display surpassed the previous record held by a church in the Philippines. The event was organized by Pyrotecnico Inc. and Freedom 250, showcasing a significant national celebration.
