GSA Awards XTec $237.6 Million Contract for Next-Generation HSPD-12 Services After Overcoming Protests
The General Services Administration (GSA) has finalized a $237.6 million contract award to XTec for the management and evolution of the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentialing service program. This program supports over 100 federal agencies and 1.15 million employees. The award follows a nearly two-year process marked by protests from other bidders. XTec will be responsible for replacing the existing legacy infrastructure with a next-generation system and providing related services, including applicant sponsorship, enrollment, biometric submission, appointment scheduling, credential issuance, maintenance, and comprehensive data management for identity and credential management.
