Disney Announces Extensive 9/11 Commemorative Programming Across Multiple Platforms
Disney is planning a comprehensive slate of programming to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. This initiative will span across ABC News, National Geographic, Disney+, Hulu, and ABC's local TV stations. The programming will include a live national broadcast from ABC News and WABC-TV New York, as well as a new original documentary from National Geographic. The content is developed in collaboration with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, aiming to honor the victims and their families while highlighting stories of courage and resilience. Debra OConnell, chairman of Disney Entertainment Television, emphasized the importance of ensuring these stories endure for future generations. Other networks like CBS News, Fox News Channel, and NBC News are also expected to offer special programming for the anniversary.
