California CTO Jonathan Porat Resigns Amidst State Leadership Changes
Jonathan Porat, California's Chief Technology Officer, has resigned from his position, effective April 21, 2026. Porat joined the California Department of Technology in late 2022 and became CTO in 2023. During his tenure, he advanced several initiatives, including the statewide Digital Strategy and AI pilots.
