Cao Fei's Dash Exhibition Explores Agricultural Transformation at Fondazione Prada
Cao Fei's Dash exhibition has opened at Fondazione Prada in Milan, showcasing a multimedia installation that combines video, photography, virtual reality, documentary footage, and archival material. The exhibition documents the transformation of agriculture through emerging technologies, developed over three years of research across rural regions in China and Southeast Asia. It features large-scale installations and image-based works that examine automated farming systems, data-driven processes, and changing labor conditions. The exhibition is installed within the Podium at Fondazione Prada, occupying a central exhibition space across multiple levels, and includes constructed environments such as agricultural stations and simulated field conditions integrated with digital interfaces.
