SpaceX Falcon 9 Launch Aborted at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Rescheduled for Tuesday
SpaceX's planned launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base was aborted at the end of the countdown on Monday, July 20th. The mission was intended to deploy 24 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. This launch marks the 23rd flight for the first-stage booster involved in the mission. The launch window was set between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., and residents in nearby counties were advised they might hear a sonic boom. A live stream of the launch was made available on the SpaceX website. Following the abort, Vandenberg Space Force Base officials announced that the launch would be attempted again on Tuesday, with a new window between 7 a.m. and 10:47 a.m. The cause of the abort was not disclosed.
