Copenhagen Fashion Week 2027 Highlights Sustainability and Diversity
The Copenhagen Fashion Week for summer 2027, held from August 3 to 7, marked its 20th anniversary with a series of events including 34 fashion shows, presentations, and lectures. Under the leadership of CEO Cecilie Thorsmark since 2018, the event has expanded its international reach and implemented mandatory sustainability requirements for participating brands. This year's edition showcased a diverse range of fashion, moving beyond traditional Scandinavian minimalism to include vibrant colors and innovative designs. Notably, the event featured collections from brands founded and creatively led by women, emphasizing inclusivity and body diversity on the runway. The inclusion of international labels like New York's Collina Strada, in partnership with The Climate Pledge, highlighted the event's commitment to sustainability.
