Minerali Industriali Joins ResponsibleGlass to Enhance Sustainability in Glass Production
Minerali Industriali, a global minerals producer, has joined ResponsibleGlass, a certification and standards program aimed at promoting sustainable glass production. As the first major mining company to join this initiative, Minerali Industriali will contribute to the development of sustainability certifications and standards. The company produces approximately 3.5 million tons of raw materials annually, supplying various international glass manufacturers and industrial customers. Its involvement is expected to strengthen upstream representation and ensure that raw material extraction, processing, and sourcing are integrated into the industry's sustainability framework. ResponsibleGlass aims to advance lower-carbon glass production and sourcing, with a focus on emissions reduction, circularity, worker welfare, and responsible sourcing across the glass value chain.
