Basketball Africa League and Qatar Foundation Announce Multiyear Social Impact Partnership
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has entered into a multiyear collaboration with the Qatar Foundation, marking the latter as the first official community partner of BAL. This partnership, facilitated by Qatar Sports Investments, aims to enhance BAL's social impact initiatives across Africa. The collaboration includes support for BAL's social programs, court renovations, and the BAL4HER initiative, which promotes gender equality in sports. Additionally, Qatar Foundation will be the presenting partner of the BAL's Ubuntu Trophy, awarded to players making significant community impacts. The foundation's logo will also appear on BAL game uniforms. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to using basketball as a tool for positive change, focusing on accessibility, inclusivity, and community development.
