Algerian Community in Lawrence Hosts Celebration to Honor Local Ties
The Algerian community in Lawrence is organizing a thank-you celebration to honor the connections built between Algeria and Lawrence during the summer. The event, organized by The Algerian Ladies of Kansas, will take place at The Granada and will feature traditional Algerian foods, a fashion show of traditional clothing, and music from various Algerian genres. The celebration is a gesture of gratitude for the hospitality shown by Lawrence when Algeria made the city its World Cup base camp. The event aims to strengthen cultural ties and showcase Algerian traditions to the local community.
