FIA Arrests Consultancy CEO in UK Student Visa Fraud Case, Recovers Funds
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has apprehended Wasil Azad, the CEO/owner of IEIS Consultants, in connection with a UK student visa fraud case. The arrest, made in Bahria Town Phase 7, led to the recovery of the complainant's full amount of Rs1.6 million. According to an FIA official, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad initiated the arrest following the registration of FIR No. AHTC-ICT-753/26. The investigation revealed that Azad, along with directors Salman and Zulqarnain, and visa consultant Sadia, allegedly handled the UK student visa application for complainant Muhammad Zahid's wife through fraudulent means. Instructions were given to deposit £4,000 in May 2025 via Teesside University, UK's online payment link. However, the necessary visa application and documents were reportedly not submitted within the stipulated deadline, preventing the woman from traveling to the UK for her studies and resulting in the loss of the £4,000 payment.
