Japanese Prime Minister Hosts Deep Purple, Celebrating Cultural Ties
Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, a longtime fan of the British rock band Deep Purple, hosted the band in Tokyo. Takaichi, who has admired the band since her youth, expressed her enthusiasm and presented drummer Ian Paice with signed Japanese-made drumsticks. The meeting highlighted Takaichi's personal connection to the band, having played in a Deep Purple cover band during her school years.
