Honeywell Expands European Defense Navigation Business Amid Rising Demand
Honeywell Aerospace is expanding its defense navigation business in Europe, driven by increased demand for inertial navigation systems that operate independently of GPS. The expansion focuses on Civitanavi Systems, an Italian company acquired by Honeywell in 2024, which provides technology crucial for operations in GPS-denied environments. This growth is fueled by European countries' emphasis on domestically manufactured defense technology, creating new opportunities for EU-built navigation systems. Honeywell's inertial systems are being integrated into various defense platforms, including missile programs and uncrewed vehicles, across Europe.
