Severe Storms and Hail Expected in Texas as Cold Front Approaches
A cold front is moving through Texas, bringing the potential for severe weather, including strong thunderstorms and large hail. According to the Houston Chronicle, the front is expected to impact North Texas initially on Tuesday, with the threat of severe weather shifting southward by Wednesday. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is likely to experience scattered thunderstorms between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday. This weather pattern is part of an active spring season that has already brought significant rainfall to the region, with San Antonio recording 9.44 inches of rain since April 1, the highest in over 60 years. Houston has also seen substantial rainfall, with 9.02 inches recorded, nearly double its average for this period.
