Stafford Township Slashes Occupancy Limit at Yonkers Councilman Rubbo's Jersey Shore Rental Home
Stafford Township, New Jersey, has significantly reduced the maximum occupancy for a short-term rental property owned by Yonkers City Councilman John Rubbo and his in-laws. The township cut the allowed number of tenants from 16, as advertised on Rubbo's website, to just 7. This action followed an inspection on August 19, which resolved two zoning violations issued earlier in the month. The violations were prompted by inquiries from the Hudson Valley Digger regarding the property at 51 Harold Lane. It was discovered that Rubbo and his family had not obtained a required short-term rental license from the township, which is necessary for officials to determine appropriate occupancy limits in an area concerned with overcrowding.
