Dayton Police Department Issues Four Citations During Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Operation
The Dayton Police Department's Traffic Services Unit conducted a commercial vehicle enforcement effort in and around Dayton, Ohio, this week. The operation focused on identifying and citing dangerous commercial vehicle violations. During this enforcement period, a total of four citations were issued to truck drivers. Three of these citations were for tractor-trailers traveling more than 15 mph over the speed limit, which is classified as a serious traffic violation. The fourth citation was issued to a truck driver for running a red light. The Dayton Police Department emphasized that serious traffic violations can lead to CDL disqualification for repeat offenders and urged drivers to slow down and obey traffic signals to enhance road safety.
