Russian Airline Izhavia Faces Operational Challenges After Regulatory Inspection
The Russian airline Izhavia has been put on notice by the federal air transport regulator Rosaviatsia following an inspection that revealed several operational violations. The inspection, conducted over two weeks, identified issues such as inadequate maintenance procedures, malfunctioning safety management systems, and breaches in crew work schedules. As a result, Rosaviatsia has restricted Izhavia's air operator certificate, warning that failure to address these issues by July 28 could lead to revocation. Izhavia, which operates Boeing 737-800s from Izhevsk airport, has acknowledged the findings and is implementing corrective measures.
