York Business School Alumni Share Career Insights with Students
York Business School recently hosted an alumni panel event on April 22nd, where four former graduates shared their career experiences and advice with current students. The panel included Oliver MacDonald, a lecturer at the University of Leeds, who emphasized the role of inclusive learning and the impact of technology and artificial intelligence in education and business. Mark Mattinson, General Manager at York Dungeon, discussed his extensive experience in the tourism sector, focusing on leadership and customer experience. Holly Blackborrow, Digital & Social Manager at Cooplands Bakery, shared her journey from a marketing intern to leading digital projects. The event provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with the alumni, asking questions about career development, entrepreneurship, and industry challenges. This initiative is part of York Business School's efforts to connect students with industry professionals and enhance their educational experience.
