Woman Sues New York Yankees for $10M After Bat Incident at Game
Stephanie Duluc, a New Jersey woman, has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the New York Yankees after being struck by a bat during a game at Yankee Stadium. The incident occurred on June 2 when a Cleveland Guardians player lost control of his bat, which flew into the stands and hit Duluc in the head and hands. Despite netting installed in front of her seating section, the lawsuit claims that a gap in the netting allowed the bat to enter the stands. Duluc, a senior health care executive, alleges that the injuries she sustained were due to negligence regarding the netting's height and has been unable to return to her professional role due to a traumatic brain injury.
