Paranormal Investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren Investigated Perron Family Haunting in 1974
In 1974, renowned paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren and her husband, demonologist Ed Warren, were called to a farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, to investigate a series of terrifying occurrences experienced by the Perron family. The family, consisting of seven members, had moved into the farmhouse in 1970 and soon began to encounter unexplained noises, movements, and physical attacks. Andrea Perron, the eldest daughter, recounted experiencing strange sounds. The Warrens commenced their investigation on July 31, 1974. Lorraine Warren, described as an avid medium, claimed the ability to communicate with spirits, while Ed Warren specialized in dealing with malevolent entities. Their investigation uncovered evidence of a long history of demonic activity at the property, with Ed Warren noting a pattern of possession that worsened over time. The events at the farmhouse later served as the inspiration for the film 'The Conjuring'.
