U.S. Soldier Killed in Iraq During Iranian Drone Disarmament
Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, a 30-year-old U.S. soldier from North Carolina, was killed in Iraq during a controlled detonation of an Iranian drone. Swinton, who served nearly a decade in the military, was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Combat Action Badge, and will be promoted to staff sergeant.
