Missoula and Bozeman Near Approval of Green Power Program
Missoula and Bozeman are on the verge of implementing a Green Power Program that would allow NorthWestern Energy customers to purchase renewable energy. This initiative, a collaboration between the two cities, aims to achieve 100% clean electricity by 2030. The program, developed with Energy Strategies LLC, involves a voluntary 'green tariff' that lets customers buy power from new renewable sources at a special rate. Missoula and Bozeman are set to vote on the program soon, marking a significant step in their clean energy goals. The program's adoption would be a first in Montana, providing a model for other communities seeking sustainable energy solutions.
