Heat and Humidity Persist Across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky
Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky are entering a stretch of hot and humid weather, with high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s°F (31-33°C). Dewpoints in the 70s°F (21-24°C) will push heat index values into the upper 90s to lower 100s°F (37-38°C). Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected each afternoon, with the potential for localized flooding and strong wind gusts. Heat advisories may be issued early in the week and could extend through the weekend (WTVF, 2026-08-09).
