WalletHub Study Ranks New York Among Greenest States in the U.S.
A recent study by WalletHub has ranked New York as the fourth greenest state in the United States. The study evaluated states based on environmental quality, eco-friendly behaviors, and climate change contributions. New York scored highly due to its low gas consumption, third-lowest energy consumption per capita, and strong soil quality. The state also ranked third in environmental quality and ninth in eco-friendly behaviors. The study highlights the relationship between eco-friendliness and personal finance, noting that states with better infrastructure for alternative-fuel vehicles make it easier for residents to adopt green technologies.
