On the evening of August 23, 2026, an EF-0 tornado touched down in Port St. Lucie, Florida, traveling approximately 2.1 miles with peak winds of 75 mph. The tornado, which lasted about 15 minutes, caused minor structural damage to homes, including roof and pool enclosure damage, and uprooted trees. The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed the tornado's path began near Southeast Kitching Cove Lane and Southeast Morningside Boulevard, transitioning into a waterspout over the St. Lucie River before coming ashore in the Bay St. Lucie community.
