Engineer Develops AI-Powered Laser System to Eliminate Mosquitoes
Steven Cheng, a computer vision and robotics specialist, has developed an AI-powered laser system designed to detect and eliminate mosquitoes in his home. The system uses a DSLR camera with a high-magnification zoom lens to identify mosquitoes, which are then targeted and 'roasted' by a laser cannon. The AI model was trained using deep learning techniques to accurately detect and lock onto mosquitoes. The system includes safety measures to prevent accidental harm to humans or flammable materials by cutting power to the laser when necessary.
