EuroCham HR Forum Highlights AI Challenges and Skills Gap in Cambodia
The EuroCham HR Forum 2026, held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, addressed the challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) and the skills gap in the workforce. Tassilo Brinzer, Chairperson of EuroCham Cambodia, emphasized the pressure on HR leaders to adapt to digital transformation. Government representatives, including Minister Heng Sour, outlined efforts to update labor policies and focus on skills development. The forum highlighted the disconnect between education systems and industry needs, with calls for partnerships between universities and businesses to produce job-ready graduates. AI was seen as both an opportunity and a challenge, with concerns about data privacy and ethics.
