Nvidia Launches Open Secure AI Alliance, Excludes Meta
Nvidia has announced the formation of the Open Secure AI Alliance (OSAA), a coalition of nearly 40 technology companies aimed at developing open-source tools to defend against AI-powered cyberattacks. Notable members include Microsoft, IBM, SpaceX, and several AI startups, but Meta is notably absent from the list. The alliance will focus on creating open-weight AI models and tools to enhance cybersecurity. This initiative follows Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's public endorsement of open-weight AI models. The alliance aims to provide organizations with the tools needed to inspect, modify, and operate AI systems independently.
