Chicago Police Investigate Shooting Near Edgewater and Uptown Neighborhoods
A 46-year-old man was hospitalized following a shooting incident near Foster Avenue and Broadway, on the border of Chicago's Edgewater and Uptown neighborhoods. The incident occurred at 10:50 p.m. when the victim was standing outside in the 5200 block of North Broadway. Unknown individuals approached on foot, opened fire, and shot the man. The victim was subsequently taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he is reported to be in good condition. Police investigations are ongoing, with detectives from the Belmont Area examining the scene near William C. Goudy Technology Academy and the nearby alley.
