Park Hyatt Tokyo Reopens After Extensive Restoration, Enhancing Luxury Experience
The Park Hyatt Tokyo has reopened following a 19-month restoration, marking the most significant renewal in the hotel's 30-year history. This extensive project aimed to preserve the legacy of Asia's first Park Hyatt hotel while updating its guestrooms, suites, dining venues, and public spaces to cater to the next generation of luxury travelers. The restoration was a collaborative effort with Paris-based design studio Jouin Manku, focusing on refining the hotel's existing features rather than reinventing them. The hotel, located atop Kenzo Tange's Shinjuku Park Tower, is renowned for its cinematic views of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji, which were famously captured in Sofia Coppola's film 'Lost in Translation'. The renovation includes redesigned guestrooms and suites, a new culinary chapter with Girandole by Alain Ducasse, and refreshed wellness facilities at Club On The Park.
