New York Comptroller's Fiscal Stress Test Reveals Stability for Sound Shore Governments, Warnings for Two School Districts
New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli's latest Fiscal Stress Monitoring System assessment indicates financial stability for Westchester County and all 11 municipalities in the Sound Shore area, including New Rochelle, Pelham, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Rye, Rye Brook, and Port Chester. Westchester County received a fiscal stress score of 3.3 out of 100, well within the 'No Designation' category. All 11 municipalities also received 'No Designation' for both fiscal and environmental stress. However, while all seven school districts in the Sound Shore area received no fiscal stress designation, the New Rochelle City School District and the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District received environmental stress warnings.
