Greater Miami and Miami Beach Report 28.3 Million Visitors and $32.2 Billion Economic Impact in 2025
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) has reported that Greater Miami and Miami Beach welcomed 28.3 million visitors in 2025, resulting in a total economic impact of $32.2 billion. This announcement was made during the GMCVB's annual State of the Travel & Tourism Industry event. The tourism sector accounted for approximately 8% of Miami-Dade County's gross domestic product and generated over $5.3 billion in combined federal, state, and local tax revenues. Visitor spending reached $22.7 billion, marking a 4.1% increase from 2024, with lodging expenses alone accounting for $10.4 billion. The industry supported more than 216,000 jobs, representing 10% of all employment in the county, and generated over $12 billion in wages. The event also highlighted the recognition of local restaurants by the 2026 MICHELIN Guide and upcoming milestones such as the completion of the Miami Beach Convention Center headquarters hotel and major events like the FIFA World Cup 26.
