NYC Health Department Opens New Clubhouse in the Bronx for Adults with Serious Mental Illness
The New York City Health Department, in collaboration with Venture House, has announced the opening of Venture House Bronx, a new clubhouse located in Fordham Heights. This facility is specifically designed to support adults living with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, major depression, and bipolar disorder. Clubhouses serve as free, community-based gathering places aimed at enriching the lives of New Yorkers with serious mental health conditions and empowering them to achieve their life goals. The new Bronx location features a commercial kitchen, dining area, art and media studios, a wellness center, and other social spaces. NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Alister F.
