However, the visit does not include a meeting with his youngest son, Prince Harry, who resides in California. This absence is notable given the ongoing family tensions that began when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties in 2020. Since then, Prince Harry has been involved in various public endeavors, including a memoir and a Netflix series, and has expressed dissatisfaction with the UK's decision to remove publicly funded security for his family. The lack of a meeting during this visit is attributed to logistical constraints, as state visits are tightly scheduled and taxpayer-funded, making personal detours impractical.
