Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation Addresses Workforce Shortage with Training Programs
The Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation is actively addressing the shortage of skilled construction workers in the state by offering comprehensive training programs. These programs are designed to connect both students and adults with high-demand job opportunities in the construction industry. The foundation, which has been operational since 2015, focuses on creating pathways to well-paying careers by providing hands-on training. For younger participants, the foundation collaborates with schools across Indiana to offer clubs for fifth- through eighth-graders, allowing them to gain practical experience with tools and construction projects. For adults, the Build Your (BY) Training Program offers industry skills and safety training for those 18 and older, aiming to equip them with the necessary skills and confidence to enter the construction field.
