NYC Prepares for Stunning Manhattanhenge Sunset Event
Manhattanhenge returns to New York City this Thursday and Friday as the setting sun aligns perfectly with Manhattan’s street grid, creating a glowing sunset corridor between skyscrapers. The rare event, coined by Neil deGrasse Tyson, happens only four times a year. The partial alignment appears Thursday at 8:14 p.m., followed by the full-sun view Friday at 8:13 p.m., with top viewing spots along 57th, 42nd, 34th and 23rd Streets.
