Experts Highlight Digital Privacy Concerns Amid AI Expansion
The rapid growth of artificial intelligence technologies is raising significant concerns about digital privacy. Experts emphasize that application permissions have become a primary gateway to personal data in the data-driven economy. Mohammad Al-Otoum, head of the Computer Science Department at the University of Jordan, notes that AI has become integral to daily life, with applications used for various purposes such as writing, translation, and business management. However, these technologies also intensify privacy concerns, as many users grant permissions without understanding the extent of data sharing. Al-Otoum highlights that personal data, including search histories and location records, can create detailed digital profiles. He stresses the importance of building a strong digital culture and increasing awareness of application permissions and privacy policies.
