Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund Signs $9.5 Billion Deals with IFC and MIGA to Boost Economic Growth
Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) has entered into two significant memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), both part of the World Bank Group. These agreements, valued at up to $9.5 billion, aim to explore co-financing opportunities and provide investment guarantees. The $6 billion MoU with IFC focuses on co-financing eligible projects within PIF's portfolio, while the $3.5 billion MoU with MIGA is designed to support investments in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East and North Africa region. The partnerships will target sectors such as infrastructure, energy, transportation, tourism, and healthcare, and are intended to promote knowledge exchange and encourage greater private capital participation.
