Cultural Legacy of 9/11 Explored in New Handbook
A new handbook titled 'Handbook of the Cultural Legacy of 9/11' is being developed to explore the extensive impact of the September 11, 2001 attacks on American culture. Edited by Marc A. Ouellette from Old Dominion University and Peter Pericles Trifonas from the University of Toronto, the handbook aims to examine how 9/11 has influenced the creation, production, and reception of various texts, including films, novels, and television shows. The editors invite scholars from multiple disciplines to contribute to this project, which seeks to understand the cultural shifts and representations that have emerged post-9/11. The handbook will cover a wide range of topics, from allegories of 9/11 to the reshaping of cultural memory and the representation of veterans.
